Chad Everett Allen

Chad Everett Allen, known affectionately to all as Chad, completed his journey on earth May 18, 2024, at the age of 45. Born on September 21, 1978, in Cookeville, Tennessee, he remained a proud resident of his birthplace until his passing.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Woodrow and Clemmie Oaks Herd.

In his personal life, Chad found solace and joy in the digital realms of video games, where he engaged with imaginative worlds that matched his quiet and brilliant mind. His love for gaming was matched by his preference for a more private life, where he enjoyed the simple pleasure of introspection and being with his thoughts.

Chad's legacy is one of gentle introspection, intellectual curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to the things he valued most. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit continues to reside in the memories held dear by his loving family and friends.

Survivors include mother, Virginia Herd Willis of Cookeville; father and step-mother, Donnie Allen, Sr and Margarete Allen of McMinnville; brother, Marty Barnes of Crossville; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chad’s family has chosen cremation and no services are planned.
