BAXTER-Funeral services for Carson Wayne Bryant, 64 of the Boma Community will be Sunday, April 1 at 2 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will be in Smellage Memory Gardens with military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Bryant died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born December 6, 1953 in Putnam County to Fred Bryant of Cookeville and the late Bonnie Raymer Bryant. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a son Kristopher Bryant, sister-in-law Janet Harper, brother-in-law Richard Burgess, grandparents: Bice and Pauline Bryant and Pearl Raymer. He was a 1972 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with friends, boxing, judo, jujutsu and working in his garden. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was a retired clerk with the U.S. Postal Service - Cookeville Office. Survivors in addition to his father include wife of 46 years (Married January 14, 1972 in Boma, Tn) Eris Ann Burgess Bryant of Boma, daughter and son-in-law Julie and James Chambers, son and daughter-in-law Shaune and Alisha Bryant all of Cookeville,, sisters and a brother-in-law Sandra "SUSIE" and Brad Uphold, Kori Bryant, Ashlie Bryant, brother William Harper all of Cookeville, aunts and uncle Mabel Harville of Baxter, Daisy Raymer of Cookeville, Demus and Janie Bryant of Ellijay, GA., sisters and brothers-in-law Jimmy and Opal Burgess of Cookeville, Ruby Jo and Thomas Maynard of Baxter, Doug and Joan Burgess of Boma, Eulah and John Gentry of Cookeville, Donny and Paula Burgess of Boma, Tony Burgess of Boma, a host of nieces , nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Thomas and Vance Gentry, Richard Burgess, Matt Haugk, Billy Harper, Danny and Chris Tucker, Bradley Uphold. Bro. Tim Sharp will officiate.
