October 16, 1946 — February 17, 2022

Funeral services for Carrie Irene Geer, 75 of Cookeville will be Sunday, February 20 at 2 PM at Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rice Cemetery in White County, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 noon until service time. Bro. Gary West will officiate. Carrie died Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 16, 1946 in Sparta to the late William Luther and Bernice Marie Stoglin Geer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Douglas Geer. She attended Coles Chapel School and graduated from White County High School. Carrie went to Vol State in Gallatin and received her degree in Respiratory Therapy. She began her career in Cookeville and retired from White County Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Carrie was a professional photographer doing portraits and weddings in her earlier career. She enjoyed reading, gardening and watching movies. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Tonya and Ross Nash of Baxter, grandchildren: Jori Nash of Baxter, Ryan and wife Sara Nash of Manchester, sisters Pat Trobaugh of Baxter, Brenda (Jimmy) Oaks of Sparta, brother Larry (Nelouise) Geer of Sparta, special friend Richard "Bud" Bussell of Baxter, several nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers will be Jimmy and Tyler Oaks, Kevin Nunn, Kyle Geer, Chad Tubbs and Kenny Randolph. Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (931)526-7158.
