Carole Ann Main

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Carole Ann Main, born on June 28, 1941, in San Bernardino, California, peacefully departed this life on January 14, 2025, at Cedars Hills Senior Living. She led a life characterized by warmth, kindness, and a commitment to family.

A dedicated professional, Carole retired from the California Highway Patrol, where she served as an Office Technician. It was during her time there that she met her beloved husband, Curtis Edgar Main. Their journey together was a testament to love and partnership.

Throughout her life, Carole devoted herself to her family and community. While raising her children, she became actively involved in the local Auxiliary Club and the Parent Teacher Association, contributing her time to support classrooms and nurture the educational environment. Even after her retirement, her spirit of service continued as she volunteered at the local Hospice Thrift Store for ten years, further demonstrating her compassion for those in need.

Carole had a passion for travel, embracing adventures across various landscapes. Her cherished trips to Alaska, San Diego, Truckee, Oklahoma, and the Pacific Ocean left her with memories that illuminated her life. She found joy in attending concerts, plays, and visiting botanical gardens, while also indulging her love for the simple pleasures of visiting zoos to see her favorite animals, the giraffes. Reading novels was another activity she savored, providing her an escape and enjoyment.

Family was at the heart of Carole’s existence. She was a caring person, always striving to find the perfect gift to show her love for those around her. Her beautiful green eyes, lovingly referred to by Curtis as his "green-eyed girl," reflected her vivacious spirit and heartfelt nature. The warmth she enveloped her loved ones with will be remembered fondly.

Carole moved to Cookeville in June of 2024. A significant part of her journey came later in November when she made the profound decision to receive Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Carole is survived by her beloved children: Holly Young (Tommy), Heather Merrill, and Chris Main (Pam). She additionally leaves behind her grandchildren, Jimmy Beckner (Natasha), Bridget Freeman-Harris (Peter), and Hyatt Ames (Alex), as well as five great-grandchildren who brought joy to her life. Her family also includes her brother, Kent Bailey (Marge), a supportive figure in her life.

She was predeceased by her husband, Curtis, and her parents, Manuel Raymond Bailey and Viola Evelyn Dean Bailey Madian Erickson.

In keeping with Carole's wishes, there will be no formal ceremony. The legacy of love and compassion she leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
