Carol Marr

Funeral services for Carol Marr, 75 of Crossville will be Tuesday, December 16 at 1:30 P.M. at Harmony Baptist Church, 1731 Cook Road in Crossville. Entombment will follow at Crest Lawn Mausoleum in Cookeville. Mrs. Marr died Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Cumberland Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1939 in Walton, West Virginia to the late Hubert and Melba Walker Gibson. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, where she played the piano and keyboard. She was a piano lesson teacher. She loved flowers and traveling. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Palmer. Survivors include husband of 53 years Hollis O. Marr (Married March 20, 1961 in Charleston, West Virginia) of Crossville, sisters Mary Walden and Helen Riggs both of Ripley, West Virginia, niece Teresa Casto of Troutman, North Carolina, Nephew Max Neely of Triangle, Virginia. Family will receive friends at Harmony Baptist Church Tuesday from 12 Noon to service time. Active Pallbearers will be Ed Cagle, Bob Parker, Jimmy Putnam, Ben Van Winkle, Tom Sledge and Bobby Fisher. Rev. David Wilkerson will officiate.
