Caleb died suddenly, Saturday January 15, 2022 on Interstate-40 near Asheville, NC while assisting others who were involved in a motor vehicle accident. Caleb was born September 30, 1988 in Raleigh, NC to Thomas and Elizabeth Barbee Camacho. Caleb lived in Asheville, NC for several years. He is the oldest of four children and has three siblings, Daniel Camacho, Caryn Camacho, and Becca Camacho. Caleb married his first love, Andrea Camacho, on March 3, 2012, and they would have celebrated their 10 year anniversary this year. They have a 7-year-old son, Aran, who loves his daddy so much. Caleb was the co-director of the Centre School of Dance in Cookeville and had recently founded a new venture, Art & Light Media. For so many, Caleb was part of the heart and soul of the Centre School of Dance. But he would want people to know that his love for the studio and the dance families was merely a reflection of his love for Jesus. His passion for worship and for the arts was demonstrated by his powerful choreography and his work in the Cookeville Children’s Theater. His loving family shares the following tribute: Caleb….It’s hard to summarize him into words because he is so much more than his roles or his attributes. Yes, he’s the best husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, teacher and friend, but more than that he is a worshiper and a servant of God. He lights up a room just with his presence, his laugh, his humor, and his spirit. He’s the wisest person we’ve ever known, not just in a practical sense, but it is as if he had a direct connection to the Lord. Every decision he made, every movement he took was always in tune to the Holy Spirit. He connected with any person he met, young, old, it didn’t matter, because it’s impossible to not love his charisma and personality. More than anything, Caleb is the most powerful, beautiful, graceful, and strong dancer and choreographer we’ve ever known or seen. When you saw him dance or his choreography you couldn’t help but cry because every time the power of the Lord fell on the room. His creativity is unmatched, in dance, photography, spoken or written words. No one ever feels unnoticed, unloved, or unprotected when he’s around. He loved to take care of his family and friends no matter the length or cost. He has always been a leader even from a young age and made every moment fun for his younger siblings, son, and students. Caleb had a life-giving spirit. His life and art brought light wherever he shared it. He had a sense of heaven that was so unique, even from an early age. He wanted everyone to know the beauty and presence of the Lord. We know we will see him again, and he will forever be in our hearts. Caleb is also survived by his grandmothers, Susan Barbee (Hickory, NC) and Barbara Camacho (Raleigh,NC); uncles, David, Mark, and Jeff Camacho, Bert Barbee, John Barbee; aunts, Pam, Kim, and Kelly Camacho, Anne Needham; and by cousins, Brad and Bryan Barbee, Ben and Kate & Sailor Moore, Kris Camacho, Carson, Dallas and Race Camacho, Caden, Tessa, and Maddox Camacho. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Bill Barbee and Bud Camacho. Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to https://gofund.me/4c3ff923.
