Bud Easterly

Funeral services for William (Bud) Everett Easterly, age 84, of Cookeville, will be held at 12 noon Monday July 1 at the Algood Family Event Center. Rev. Danny Hembree and Rev. Martin Bowling will officiate. Interment will follow at Algood City Cemetery. His family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m until service time. Mr. Easterly passed away Saturday June 29, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN. He was born May 9, 1935 in Boom, TN to the late Ezra and Orpha Russell Easterly. Mr. Easterly was a US Army veteran. He graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 1967 earning a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired from the US Army Corp of Engineers in 1995 with over 28 years of service. Mr. Easterly was a member and deacon at Bear Creek Baptist Church. He formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Stone Association of Baptists and was a member of the Gideons International in Cookeville. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Faye Harris Easterly of Cookeville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Donald (Dobbin) Ray of Clarksville, TN, Vicky and Terry Sweat of Chesterfield, VA; six grandchildren, Dr. Christie Flatt, Andrea Walker, Katie Gardner, Laura Dolan, Julianne Thompson, and Ellen Turner; six great-grandchildren, Hadley, Deacon, and Nora Gardner, Lucas and Sadie Walker, and Clark Everett Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Harville Easterly; sister, Evelyn Martin; and four brothers, Ezra Travis (Tab) Easterly, James Easterly, Roger Easterly, and Edward Easterly; grandson, William Tyler Easterly-Sweat. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
