A memorial service for Mr. Edward Dale Buzachero, age 38 of Mt. Juliet and formerly of Livingston, TN, will be held Friday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m. at The River Community Church in Cookeville. Family and friends will gather Friday from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Mr. Buzachero passed away Friday February 7, 2020. He was born June 13, 1981 in Livingston, TN to the late Marco P. and Rose Brown Buzachero and was a 1999 graduate of Livingston Academy. Bubbie had a lifelong passion for baseball and he spent his life working to maximize his God given talent and giving back to others who shared his love of the game. His ability paired with a tremendous work ethic started as a little leaguer in Livingston and brought many accolades in high school with the Livingston Acasemy Wildcats. Following his steller prep career at LA, Bubbie played at Tennessee Tech University for three seasons. He was drafted in the 23rd round of the 2002 MLB draft to the Toronto Blue Jays organization and spent 8 years in the minor leagues as a member of the Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians organizations. He also played in Kuefstein, Austria, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, including in the Dominican World Series, during minor league offseasons. He continued his baseball career by playing in Australia for four years for the Melbourne Aces. Throughout his career and following retirement from baseball, Bubbie served as a mentor and coach to countless young players through camps and clinics. In his own words, 'One of the most rewarding parts for me is to see the progression of a kid into a young man through the game of baseball'. Bubbie is survived by his wife, Jaime Hallam Buzachero; children, Alivia Kerr, Braxton Kerr, Tyler Hallam and Levi Hallam; sister, Crytal Richardson of Livingston, TN; nieces, Keonna and Kiara Copeland; and aunt, Ann Reitmeyer; his beloved canine companion, Gracie; and by many dear friends, mentors and teammates in the Upper Cumberland, North American, Australia and all over the world. Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to https://venmo.com/BubbieBaseball The funds sent to this account will be used to promote youth baseball camps and help underprivileged kids who love the sport of Baseball. Bubbie was intensely passionate about giving back to his community and friends any way he could. He felt so blessed to have the life he had and the ability and support in childhood that allowed him to play the sport he loved for his entire life.
