Bryant Qualls

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Bryant Qualls, age 89 of Algood, will be held Monday, June 19th at 3:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Bro. Doyle Crawford will officiate. Mr. Quall's family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Qualls died Saturday, June 17, 2017. He was born March 5, 1928 in the Windle Community of Overton County, TN to the late Walter and Myrtle Crawford Qualls. He attended school in Overton County and later served his country in the United States Army. Bryant was owner of Qualls Trucking Company where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Algood Church of Christ. A devoted family man, he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states with his wife Mary. He was a member of Middle TN Antique Engine & Tractor Association for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey Qualls and Alec Qualls; and sisters, RosaNell Qualls and Elise Norton. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Poteet Qualls; sons and daughters in law, David and Sue Qualls of Algood and Mark and Vicki Qualls of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Ryan Qualls and Rachel Qualls; and by sister, M.C. Mosseller of Hendersonville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
