Brenda Nash

Funeral services for Brenda Faye Nash, 80 of Cookeville, will be Friday, March 4 at 1 PM at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Nash Cemetery in White County. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 8 PM and Friday after 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Mike Gillock will officiate. Mrs. Nash died Tuesday night, March 1, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born February 14, 1942 in Putnam County to the late Jesse and Dimple Buckner Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Tayes and a brother, Bud Long. Brenda was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. She worked at Cookeville Shirt Factory, AquaTech and Russell Stover Candies in the "nut room" as she referred to it. She loved to take pictures everywhere she went. She loved her friends and family dearly, but most of all she loved the Lord. Survivors include husband of 59 years (Married November 30, 1962) Johnny L. Nash of Cookeville; sons and a daughter-in-law, Tim and Terri Nash of Cookeville, Kyle Nash of Franklin, sisters, Opal Burgess, Dean Stewart, Robbie (Donnie ) Powell all of Cookeville, Sandy Cole of Sparta; grandchildren: Mackenzie and Madison Nash.
