Brenda Ledbetter

Funeral services for Brenda Jo Ledbetter, 78, of Algood will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Algood Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with interment to follow in Algood Cemetery. Rev. Patricia Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Ledbetter died suddenly Tuesday afternoon, August 14, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1934 in Rockwood, TN to the late Estle Hodges and Hessie Pearl Smith Hodges Hicks. Mrs. Ledbetter was a member of Algood First United Methodist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Ledbetter, stepfather, Harley Hicks, two grandchildren, Michael and Tera Ledbetter and a brother, Jamie Lee Hicks. Mrs. Ledbetter is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Michelle Ledbetter of Baxter; three grandchildren, Brittany Ledbetter, Lisa Ledbetter and Richard Ledbetter; sister, Esllene Jenkins of Anderson, IN; sister-in-law, Mayme Jo Hicks of Algood; two nieces, Tracy (Kenny) Slaughter and Amy Hicks. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
