Brenda Joyce Horn

Brenda Joyce (Clevenger) Horn passed away peacefully Tuesday May 30th, 2023 after an extended battle with cancer at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.

She was very loved and will be terribly missed. She was a loving mother and fiercely loved her grand babies.

Brenda was born in Louisa, Kentucky on April 26th, 1945, to the late Luther and Elva Clevenger

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Glenn Horn, her children, Anthony Horn, Michelle Horn and Brian Horn; her grandchildren Keistyn (Horn) Steward and husband Bradley Steward, Matias Horn, Azura Collins, Brian (lil’ B) Horn II, and William Horn II; her sister Jean (Clevenger) Eggleston and husband Mike Eggleston and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Warren and Paul Clevenger and great granddaughter Remi Jade Steward.

Brenda moved from her birth place of Louisa, Kentucky to Columbus, Ohio and eventually settled in Cookeville in 1986 where she was a resident until her death.

She was a part-time stay at home mother and the owner of multiple businesses with her husband while raising her three children simultaneously .

She enjoyed collecting paintings, was a voracious reader and always had her nose in a book.

If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the memorial service her family is holding in her honor at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home on Thursday, June 8th with visitation at 1:00 and a service at 2:00.
