Brenda Bohannon

Funeral services for Brenda Bohannon, 67 of Elizabethton and formerly of Rickman, were held Sunday, August 1 at 2 PM at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Campbell Bohannon Cemetery in Putnam County. Bro. James Tidwell and Bro. Michael Hood officiated. The family received friends Sunday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Bohannon died Wednesday night, July 28, 2021 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, TN. She was born October 19, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Clyde and Fannie Marie Edwards Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Earl Bohannon on February 11, 2012; son-in-law, Travis West; sister, Linda Hardin; brother, Junior Powell. She was a member of Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ in Elizabethton, TN. Brenda was a retired cashier in food service at Milligan University in Elizabethton. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially the grandbabies. Survivors include daughters, Crystal West of Elizabethton, Gina (Jeff) Sharp of Hazelhurst, Mississippi, April (Lance) Little of Cookeville; sons, David Scott Bohannon of Cookeville, Jeramy Bohannon and fiance Misty Looper of Livingston and Michael (Betty) Brewer of Lincolnton, N.C.; mother-in-law, Pansy Bohannon; grandchildren: Ashley, Kylie, Michael, Brandon, Tyler, Shai, Bailey, Madison, Rylei, Parker, Aspen and Felicitey; great-grandchildren: Avery, Addison, Camden, Margo, Maddex, Knox, Ryker, McKinley, Jaxson, Cason, Eli, Braylin and Bryson. Active Pallbearers were Donald Dick, David, Jeramy and Parker Bohannon, Lance Little and Chris Hardin.
