Bonnie Hannah

COOKEVILLE - Mrs. Bonnie Eugene Spivey Hannah was born May 21, 1927 in Jackson County, TN. She passed away June 25, 2024 at NHC Healthcare, Cookeville at the age of 97. She was the daughter of Leo and Gertrude Spivey and wife of the late Cecil Hannah who passed away April 7, 1998.

She has enjoyed retirement for many years and prior to that she worked at the shirt factory in Gainesboro. She was a life long member of Richmonds Chapel Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Ernie) Zelenka, grandchildren, Patty (Rick) Marsh, Barry (Deanna) Smith, great grandchildren, Hailey (Taylor) Hennigan, Gabby and Molly Smith, two very precious great great grandchildren, Ruth Ann and Noa Elizabeth Hennigan, all of Cookeville, and a very special roomate and friend, Geneva Henry.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday July 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Dwight Henry will officiate with music from Kim Hanna. Interment will follow at Pharris Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.

Ernie Zelenka, Rick Marsh, Barry Smith, Taylor Hennigan, Mike Smith and Donny Meadows will serve as pallbearers.. Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Hanna, Kathy Hanna, Dale Spivey, David Trisdale, Darlene McCormick, Geneva Henry, and Tim Bilbrey.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pharris Cemetery, c/o Ray Heady, 169 Poston Ridge Lane, Gainesboro, TN 38562.
