COOKEVILLE-Funeral services for Bobby Gerald Frazier, 82 of Cookeville, will be Sunday, November 17 at 1 PM from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Davis will officiate. Mr. Frazier died Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. He was born September 24, 1937 in Cookeville to the late Clarence Blanton Frazier and Mattie Daniels Frazier. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Ann Frazier, sisters, Betty Ruth Thompson and Brenda Weber Quick, brothers Daniel Frazier, Billy Howard Frazier, Don Buddy Frazier and Roger Frazier. He was a retired production director with Gannett News Service. He began his career here in Cookeville with the Herald-Citizen. His newspaper career took him to Cocoa Beach, Fl to Bellingham, Washington to San Bernandino, California and back to Cocoa Beach. He returned to Cookeville in 1989 and started a mini-warehouse business, was a building contractor, building three homes for his family. He was a member of Trinity Assembly. He enjoyed fishing and working out and socializing with his friends at the Cookeville YMCA. Survivors include wife of 64 years (Married November 6, 1955 in Rossville, GA) Evelyn McReynolds Frazier of Cookeville, sons and a daughter-in-law Jeff Frazier of Nashville, Chris and Petra Meyer Frazier of Denver, CO, brother Dallas Frazier of Cookeville, grandchildren: Kelsi (Matt) Konchan, Kayla, Matthew, Heidi and Lucas Frazier, great-grandchildren: Addison, Wylder and Kadance, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 16 from 5 to 8 PM and after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105 or Alzheimers Tennessee 1459 Interstate Dr. Cookeville, TN 38501-3777.
