Bobby Bralley

A Memorial Service for Mr. Hirotaka "Bobby" Katsumata Bralley, 63 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, May 15th at 3 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Virgil Covel will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Please come to celebrate the blessed hope represented in the bible. Be prepared to laugh and cry, dress casually and comfortably. Mr. Bralley died Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1952 in Tokyo, Japan to the late Leroy Austin and Kinue Katsumata Bralley. His father's military service brought his family to America in May of 1956 where they lived in Kansas, Indiana and Kentucky, where he met his future wife Nedra. Bobby was a graduate of Southern Adventist University and became licensed at Erlanger Medical Center as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). He moved to Cookeville in 1983 and became a partner of Upper Cumberland Anesthesia Associates where he worked until 1997. Always smiling, Bobby's warm and kind personality endeared him to his colleagues, family and friends. He has been a member of the Cookeville Seventh-Day Adventist Church since moving to Cookeville in 1983. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Bralley. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nedra Sykes Bralley; son, Stephen Bralley and wife Tina of Nashville; daughter, Kinue "Chrissy" Brunton and husband Tom of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Alexander and Katherine Bralley; niece Stephanie and Nathan Brown and nephew Austin Bralley of Radcliff, KY; and by his beloved grandoggies Harley and Brenna.
