Bobbie Sue Fox, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Born on November 17, 1930, in Putnam County, TN, she was the beloved only child of the late Loyd D. Fox and Eula D. Webb Fox.
Bobbie dedicated her life to the service of others, both in her professional career and personal life. Her journey began with the Tennessee National Guard, where she served as a flight nurse. Her commitment to caring for others was unwavering and she carried this dedication into her long and distinguished career in healthcare.
Bobbie retired from the former Baptist Hospital in Nashville after more than 40 years of service. During her tenure, she held the esteemed position of Chief Surgical Nurse, providing exceptional care to countless patients and serving as an inspiration to her colleagues. Her legacy in the field of nursing is marked by her unwavering commitment to patient care and her leadership in the operating room.
Bobbie's life was a testament to her strong spirit and her dedication to serving others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. We celebrate her life and honor her legacy, remembering her not only for her professional achievements but for the love, compassion, and kindness she showed to everyone she met.
Graveside services honoring Bobbie will be at 3 p.m. Saturday August 19 at Paran Cemetery. Pastor Todd Sutton will officiate.
