Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Ordway, age 73, of Sparta, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday July 26 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 - 3 p.m. Mrs. Ordway passed away suddenly Saturday, July 22, 2017 at her residence. She was born August 22, 1943 in Putnam County, TN to the late Clarence Haskel and Mary Magdalene Tinch Swallows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Redden; second husband, Gilbert Edward Ordway; two brothers, Junior and Johnny Swallows; and granddaughter, Amanda Garrett. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and John Short of Cookeville; grandchildren, Patrick Garrett of Cookeville, Kathren Colton and husband Christopher of Cumming, GA, Jenny Resendiz and her husband David of Canton, GA, and Tanda Garrett of Cookeville.
