Bob Errick

Funeral services for Robert Frederick Errick, age 93 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday September 30 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Rev. Christian Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home and again Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Bob passed away Sunday September 26, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 8, 1927 in Teaneck, NJ to the late George Leonard Sr. and Augusta Schultz Errick. Bob was a WWII veteran having served in the US Army. He retired from the Teaneck Police Department after 31 years of service. He also served as a US Marshall and currently worked with the Putnam County Sheriff Department. Bob was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joan Errick, whom he married August 8, 1953 in Teaneck; Leonard (Anita) Errick of West Milford, NJ, Kenneth (Diane) Errick of Paramus, NJ, and Mark (Lisa) Errick of Monroe, TN; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Leonard Errick Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 565 E 10th St, Cookeville, TN 38501.
