Billy Wayne Goolsby

COOKEVILLE-Graveside services and interment for Billy “BILL” Wayne Goolsby, 64, of Grimsley, TN, will be Tuesday, June 23, at 1PM at Williams Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Robertson County, TN. The family will receive friends Monday, June 22 form 3 PM to 6 PM at Dyer Funeral Home in Cookeville, TN. Due to Covid-19 precautions, limited seating and social distance measures will be observed. Mr. Goolsby died Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born May 30, 1956 in Cookeville to the late Willis Loyd and Frances Olivia Whitson Goolsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Raymond Goolsby and a brother, Kenneth Goolsby. He was a logger and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed working his mules, raising chickens and loved to “gab”. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, (married December 21, 1973) Reada Birdwell Goolsby of Grimsley; son, Joe Loyd (Crystal) Goolsby of Hllsboro; brothers, Charles (Betty Sue) Goolsby of Gainesboro, Terry (Susan) Goolsby, Gary (Peggy) Goolsby and Johnny Ray (Maria) Goolsby all of Bell Buckle; sister-in-law, Ann Goolsby of Gordonsville; grandchildren, Kayla (Chris) Millican, BJ, Courtney and Harley Goolsby, great-grandchildren, Xayne, Xander and Xayden.
