Billy W. Jackson

A memorial service for Billy Wilson Jackson, 82 of Nashville, will be held Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Dr. Charles McCaskey will officiate. Interment will be follow at a later date at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Jackson died peacefully Tuesday evening, December 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 5, 1934 in Jackson County, TN to the late Claude Lee Jackson and Ora B. Wilson Jackson. Billy was a 1953 graduate of Jackson County High School, where he played forward for the basketball team. He worked as a salesman and service tech for the Duo-Fast Company for over 35 years. He was a top salesman and won many awards. Billy was a hardworking, fair and generous man. He enjoyed fishing on his pontoon boat and was a fan of Tennessee football and basketball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jess Jackson and Charles Lindbergh Jackson; and by sisters, Loree Frye, Mable Wahler and Jenny Sue. He is survived by his three sons, Terry and wife Janice Jackson, Greg Jackson, all of Nashville, and Billy Jackson Jr., of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Blair, Lee and Hunter; and great grandchildren, Ireland and Knox.
