Billy Joe Simmons

Graveside services and interment with military honors for Mr. Billy Joe Simmons, 69 of the Crawford community of Overton County and formerly of Livingston will be held Wednesday, December 28 at 10 a.m. in the Good Hope Cemetery in Overton County. Bro. Glen Goggins will officiate. Mr. Simmons died suddenly Thursday, December 22, 2011 at his home. He was born December 2, 1942 in the Crawford Community of Overton County, TN to the late Frison and Loraine Goggins Simmons. Mr. Simmons was a US Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Brandy Simmons of McKinney, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Adam Abston of Livingston, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Ernestine Goggins of Monterey, TN; seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
