Billie Sue Fields

Funeral services for Billie "Sue" Fields, age 79 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, January 14th at 3:00 p.m. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Brad Halfacre will officiate. Entombment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Her family will receive friends Friday from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Fields died Wednesday January 12, 2022 at her residence. She was born November 20, 1942 in Cookeville to the late Billy and Ollie Edna Miller Messenger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Luther Dow Fields, Jr.; brother, Tony Lewis Messenger; and by a niece, Lisa Roberts. She is survived by sister, Linda Carol Howard; nieces, Cindy White and Angie Houston; a host of great nieces and nephews; and by special friends and caretakers, Tracey and Brad Halfacre and their children, Olivia, Laine and Bradyn Halfacre.
