Funeral services for Billie Ledbetter, 82, of Monterey will be held Wednesday, August 29 at 1 p.m. at Monterey First Freewill Baptist Church with interment to follow in Welch Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Jack Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Horner Funeral Home and Wednesday 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Ledbetter died Sunday afternoon, August 26, 2012 at Standing Stone Care and Rehab Center. She was born October 16, 1929 in Warren County, TN to the late Lonnie Taylor and Lona Lee Roberson Matheney. Mrs. Ledbetter was a dedicated pastor"�s wife as she and her husband served in many United Brethren in Christ churches. She attended Monterey First Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and later the cafeteria manager at Monterey High School for 17 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Rev. Winson Ledbetter and a step daughter, Loretta Kimble. Mrs. Ledbetter is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Patricia Ledbetter of Monterey, Chuck and Faye Ledbetter of Cookeville and Tim and Tammy Ledbetter of Hilham; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucy and Al Swafford of Tipp City, OH and Mary and Jack Whittaker of Inglewood, OH; one brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Geraldine Matheney of Rickman; seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
