Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Jean Wallace, age 80, of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Wallace passed away Sunday, January 23rd at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 19, 1941 in the Zenith community of Fentress County, TN to the late Willie Doyle and Edna Baldwin Peavyhouse. She was a graduate of Algood School. Mrs. Wallace was employed at Teledyne-Stillman. She was devoted to her family and was an excellent homemaker and cook. She was a member of Algood Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Kyle Allen Wallace; and by a brother, Jerry Peavyhouse. She is survived by two sons, Mark Wallace and Mike (Tammy) Wallace, all of Cookeville; grandchildren, Noel Qualls, Tiffany Wallace, Michael Kyle Wallace, and Brittany Peek; sisters-in-laws, Kay Peavyhouse of Helenwood, TN, Nancy Wallace of Clinton, TN and Libby (Ronnie) Riggs of Norris, TN; and by a host nieces and their families. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Billie Jean's family wishes to thank the staff at NHC HealthCare Cookeville for the excellent and loving care given to her.
