Funeral services for William 'Bill' Weaver, 72 of Cookeville, will be held Friday December 27 at 11 am in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Chris Sparkman and Bro. Tim Sharp will officiate. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Mr. Weaver's family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5pm until 8pm and again on Friday from 10am until service time 11am at the funeral home. Mr. Weaver died Monday December 23, 2013 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1941 in Virginia Beach, VA to the late Irwin M. and Mary Lee Weaver. Bill worked as a truck driver before his retirement. He had a special talent for building and anything related to construction. He will be fondly remembered for his love of talking to people and for story-telling, especially in his later years at the Hwy 111 Flea Market. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Shanna Weaver; three brothers, Mahlon, Clarence and Vernon Weaver, and by a sister, Irene Yoder. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Susan 'Sue' Miller Weaver (whom he married September 21, 1963 in Hartville, Ohio); Loving children: two sons, William Scott (Melissa) Weaver of Silver Point, Steve Weaver of Cookeville; three daughters, Sherri Weaver of Cookeville, Shelley and Sharina Weaver both of Baxter; four wonderful grandchildren, Jennifer Weaver, David, Paul and Elijah Grogan; two sisters Katie Ann Miller of Goshen, Indiana and Mary Alice Lennon Lancaster, PA; and by two brothers, Edwin Weaver of Quaker City, Ohio and twin brother Wilmer Weaver of Baxter. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Noah and Gabriel Daugherty.
