Bill Holleman

William A. Holleman, better known as "BILL", passed away Friday, April 3, 2015, surrounded in love by family and friends. Bill was born August 3, 1928, in Cookeville, TN to the late Sam and Willie Terry Holleman. He was a 1951 graduate of Tennessee Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in English. He married Margaret Francis "PEGGY" Dowdy on May 7, 1977. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2013. Bill worked in his early years at Citizens Bank in Cookeville before becoming owner/manager of the Continental Trailways bus terminal. Following that, he was an employee of Adams Plastics/Adams USA for 40 plus years. He is survived by his cousin, Randy Adams and wife Debbie of Cookeville, their daughter Terry Adams of Sparta and fiancé, Chris Stubblefield, close friends Clara McDonald, Ellen Walker, Kirk Lesko and Marcia Borys, all of Cookeville, and his little dog, Chloe. He is also survived by cousins Mariana Birdwell, Lois Weisburd, Hannah Jo Plevak, Roy Hart and Jimmy Hart. Always the gentleman, the sparkle in his eye, quick wit, generous spirit, gentle kindness, and love for his family and friends will always be remembered.
