Bill Hall

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Clay Hall, age 76, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday August 15 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Paul Wilmoth and Bro. David Hill will officiate. Entombment with military honors will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time. Mr. Hall passed away Saturday evening August 11, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 30, 1942 in Jackson County, TN to the late Arthur and Nora Pharris Hall. Mr. Hall served in the US Navy. He was a member of Northeast Church of Christ. He was retired from Tennessee Tech University where he served as Assistant Food Director for 27 years. Mr. Hall was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and father-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Hilda Thomas Hall, whom he married June 24, 1967 in Michigan; three daughters, Debra Maxwell, DeAnne (Dan) Evans, Leanna (Richard) Mason, all of Cookeville; eight grandchildren, Justin Hall, Britney Maxwell, Landon (Leigh) Evans, Logan (Caylin) Evans, Laken, Chloe, Jonah, and MaryKatherine Evans; one great-grandchild, Bowen Evans; brother-in-law, Carlos (Rosie) Thomas; and sisters-in-law, Alberta Hall, Jewell Hall, and Katherine Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Willard, Sam, Arthur Jr., Robert, and Carlos Ray Hall; four sisters, Barbara Evins, Gladys Bybee, Dorothy Poteet, and Betty Hall; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clifford and Novella Thomas. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Tennessee Bible College, 1616 McCulley Road, Cookeville, TN 38506.
