Bill Dunn

Funeral services for William (Bill) W. Dunn, age 87 of Cookeville, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday January 10 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Buddy Johnson officiated. Interment followed at Cookeville City Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time. Bill passed away Thursday morning January 7, 2021 at his home. He was born December 24, 1933 in Putnam County, TN to the late Beecher Rasco and Mae Lafever Dunn. Bill retired from the maintenance department in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He also formerly owned and operated Dunn Gulf in Cookeville. He was a member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. He is survived by step-son, Phillip (Debra) Anderson of Cookeville; and step-daughter, Dimple Correa of Shelby Township, MI; sister-in-law, Morena Dunn of McMinnville; grandchildren, Colt (Amy) Correa, Clinton Correa, and Candace (Ulrich Koheler) Correa; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Lydia, and Nathan Correa; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Gibson Dunn; second wife, Inez Smith Dunn; brothers, Gene (Helen) Dunn, Troy (Martha Mae) Dunn, John Dunn; sister, Iris Geraldine (Chick) Neal; step-son, David Anderson; and two infant sons.
