BAXTER - Memorial services for Billy "BILL" Francis Anderson, 76 of Crossville, formerly of Baxter, will be Thursday, October 26 at 2 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Maynard Cemetery in DeKalb County at a later date. Rev. Dr. James E. Janecek will officiate. Mr. Anderson died Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Standing Stone Care & Rehab in Monterey, TN. He was born October 8, 1941 in the Cherry Hill Community of DeKalb County to the late Marvin and Lucille Maynard Anderson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Anderson. He was a 1959 graduate of Baxter Seminary and attended Tennessee Tech University. He served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Fairfield Glade Community Church. He was a retired Supervisor of Installation at GTE with 28 years of service. He retired in 1994 and moved to Crossville in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening and spending time with his four-legged friend, Shadow. Survivors include wife of 49 years (Married September 7, 1968 in Richmond, Indiana) Sandra "Sandy" Wisenberg Anderson of Crossville, daughter Kimberly Anderson of Madison, Alabama, son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Beth Anderson of Richmond, Indiana, grandchildren: Ali Anderson and Evan Anderson.
