Beulah Whittaker Maxwell

September 10, 1918 — January 12, 2013

Beulah Whittaker Maxwell of Cookeville went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2013, following a brief illness. Services will be Tuesday at noon at Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church, 833 S. Willow Ave. Viewing begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. Visitation is Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home, Cookeville. Graveside services will be at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville. Born on Sept. 10, 1918, Beulah was the daughter of Joe and Belle Roberson Whittaker. At 94 years of age, she was the lone survivor of 13 children. Beulah was a homemaker and seamstress for many years. Her husband Clay Maxwell died in 2007. Beulah is survived by daughters Wilma and husband Jim Jones of College Station, TX, and Linda and husband Charles R. Allen of Cookeville. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Jeffrey Jones of College Station, TX, Julie and husband Neil Gertner of Shingletown, CA, and Amy and husband Michael Smith of Cookeville, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Maxwell is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Revs. Gary Farris and Charles Cook will officiate. Rev. Ronnie Dunn will conduct graveside services.
