Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Sue Foy, age 72, of Cookeville, will be Monday morning, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again Monday before the service. Mrs. Foy passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 6, 1942 in Nashville, TN to the late Anna Delk and Edward Hooks. Betty worked in the Health Care industry for several years. She enjoyed reading, baking, (especially) shopping and gospel singings as well as her church, One Eleven Fellowship. Betty is survived by her husband of forty three years, Michael Foy as well as seven children; Kim Whitehead (husband James) of Monticello KY, Melissa Foy of Murfreesboro TN, Tonya Hooks Helmer of Brookeville OH, Michelle Hill (husband Ed) of Warren MI, Deanna Grove (husband Scott) of New Baltimore MI, Greg Hooks (wife Nancy) of Warren MI, and Kenny Hooks (wife Dee) of Kingston TN. Mrs. Foy is also survived by three sisters; Ellen Beaty of Jamestown TN, Mary (husband Chester) Sutton of Macomb MI, and Barb Rogers of Jamestown TN. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren as well as a host of friends. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by an infant brother and a sister; Juanita Hawk. The family has requested donations be made to the One Eleven Fellowship Church located at 6200 Hwy 111 North Cookeville, TN 38506. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Bro. Roger Cooper will be conducting the services.
