Betty Sue Cooper

Funeral services for Betty Sue Cooper, age 84, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m Wednesday September 25 at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Kerry Higgins and Bro. Benjamin Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Cooper passed away Saturday September 21, 2019 at Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville. She was born May 22, 1935 in Harriman, TN to the late William David and Grace Ruth Todd Kring. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Taylor's Seminary Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters, Kay Gunter and husband Danny of Jamestown, TN, Eunice Pritchett and husband Larry of Clarkrange, Doris Doss and husband Spencer of Cookeville, and Cathy Young of Grimsley, TN; step-children, Dewey Cooper Jr., Billy Cooper, Jacky Cooper, Nancy Hale, and Rita Hale; step daughter-in-law, Carol Cooper; grandchildren, Charles Doss and wife Bridget, Benji Cooper and wife Catie, Katrina Pryor and husband Donny, Beth Landies and husband Ian Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ben Cooper II, Jakob Cooper, Macy Jo Cooper, Joe Landies, Caleb Doss, Ray Doss, and several step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Ellis Young; her second husband, Dewey Cooper; sister, Hazel Blaylock; and brother, Amos Key. Pallbearers will be Caleb and Ray Doss, Joe Landies, Ben, Jake, Shawn, and Matthew Cooper. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Farris Hale and Macy Jo Cooper.
