Betty Lamberth

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Sue Lamberth, age 80, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 12 at the Cookeville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Rev. Christian Smith and Dr. Charles McCaskey will officiate. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in White House, TN. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 - 1 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Lamberth passed away Monday October 9, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 27, 1937 in Delinta (Lee County), KY to the late Clinton and Grace Brandenburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James W. Brandenburg. She was a member of Cookeville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a Silver Patron Member of the Women's Ministry. She was also an award-winning Mary Kay Sales Consultant for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Edwin Lamberth, who she married June 2, 1962 in Lexington, KY; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria Lamberth and her husband, Tate Albert of Hendersonville, NC; three brothers, Earl (wife Javenne) Brandenburg of Irvine, KY, Harold Dean Brandenburg of Perryville, KY, and Michael Brandenburg of Beattyville, KY; seven sisters, Loretta Captain of Miamisburg, OH, Nina Soper of Lexington, KY, Brenda (husband Bill) Wilcox of Dayton, OH, Delana Brandenburg of Lexington, KY, Judy Clifton (husband Charles) of Georgetown, KY, Barbara Proffit (husband Paul) of Brookville, OH and Rebecca Jane Stamper (husband Mark) of Frankfort, KY; three grandchildren, Molly Thomas, Sage and Quinlan Albert; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067.
