Betty Hill

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Phy Hill, age 79 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, September 16th at 3:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brown's Mill Cemetery. Bro. Clarence Deloach will officiate. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. She died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. She was born April 14, 1939 in Putnam Co. to the late Eli and Velma West Phy. Betty was employed at Stillmans in Cookeville and also was a home caregiver. She loved attending church and was a member of the Bussell Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Bobby Ray Dunn and Marvin Lee Hill; sisters, Francis Moore and Anna Hembree; brother, Franklin Phy; grandson, Brandon Brown Dunn, great grandchild, Braylen Poore, and son-in-law, Joel Terry Maxwell. She is survived by her children, Pamela Dunn Maxwell, Rick Dunn, Tim (Lisa) Dunn, Mike Dunn, Sharon Evans, Daron (Denise) Dunn and Chris (Kim) Dunn; 16 grandchildren, 22 (and one on the way) great grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Joe) Sullivan and Geneva Hogue; and step-children, Marvin and Cheryl.
