Betty C. Hill

Betty Grace Cipperly Hill, age 87, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center. There will be a private burial. To celebrate Betty’s life, her family has planned a memorial service on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Blackman United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro. Betty was a homemaker while also being involved with the UT Extension Services, the United Methodist Women and volunteered at the St. Clair Street Senior Services. Mrs. Hill was born on July 22, 1923 in Schroon Lake, New York to the late Raymond and Grace Ribley Cipperly. Before moving to Murfreesboro, Mrs. Hill lived thirteen years in Cookeville, TN. She has also lived and raised her family in South Charleston, West Virginia. Mrs. Hill is survived by five children: Joe Hill (Eileen) of Mequon WI, John Hill (Holly) of Brentwood TN, Jim Hill (Shunila), Jane Newberg (Matt), and Joan Hill, all of Murfreesboro TN. She is also survived by sister Ellene Zapp of Cohoes NY, and brother Robert Cipperly of Hendersonville NC. Betty was blessed with eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Hill, her parents and two brothers, Raymond and Arnold Cipperly. .
