Bettie Sue Doyle

Bettie Sue Goolsby Doyle passed from this life on June 17, 2024, at Cookeville, Putnam County, Tennessee.

She was born January 14, 1934 in Cookeville, Putnam County, Tennessee, to the late Theodore Rhymond Goolsby and Nancy Massa Goolsby.

Ms. Bettie was a graduate of Putnam County Senior High School class of 1952.

She loved quilting, and she shared many quilts she made as gifts to friends and family.

She also enjoyed working on puzzles.

Ms. Bettie especially enjoyed history, which she studied at Tennessee Tech, and she did extensive genealogical research over the years. Her efforts and work on local genealogy were substantial, and her sharp memory proved particularly useful in her research. She touched many lives with her passion for genealogy.

Ms. Bettie was the mother to twin sons, Brenton Edward Allen and Kenton Rhymond Allen, both of whom predeceased her.

She is survived by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Ms. Bettie’s wishes were to be cremated and she directed that there be no funeral, memorial, celebration of life, or any service.
