Graveside services for Mrs. Betsy Fleming Fields Hall, age 90, of Cookeville will be conducted at Shelby Hills Cemetery in Bristol, TN on Friday, April 25. Mrs. Hall died on April 23, 2014 at NHC of Cookeville She was born in Bristol, Tennessee, June 13, 1923 to Mary and Joseph Fleming. She graduated from Fassifern School for Girls in Hendersonville, North Carolina, and later attended Virginia Intermont College. She was married to H.J. Fields from 1945-1975 and to J. Will Hall from 1977-1996. Betsy loved her many friends and her community. She was well known for her original sense of humor. While living in Bristol, she served on the Altar Guild and Flower Guild at Emmanuel Episcopal Church. She was also a member of the Border Guild, Jr. League, Child Study Club and History Club. With her second husband, she owned Will Travel Agency in Bristol for nine years. She and Will saw many parts of the world together. In her youth she discovered her love of art and became a gifted water-colorist. She returned to painting in her later years. Betsy is survived by her three children: Jay Fields of Asheville, North Carolina, Molly Walling also of Asheville and Laura Wolf of Cookeville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Whitney (Nathan) Singleton, Alison Fields, Kate Walling, Sara Fields, Jason Wolf, Lindsey (Cody) Jarvis and Tyler Wolf; and three great-grandchildren: Grace, Jack and Maddie Singleton. In lieu of flowers the family would be most grateful for donations to be made to Emmanuel Espicopal Church, 700 Cumberland Avenue, Bristol, Virginia 24201.
