Bernard Hollins Allred, age 92 of Cookeville. Tennessee went to be with his Lord Saturday evening, June 25, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1929 in Clarkrange, Tennessee to Emma Todd Allred and Virgil Edward Allred. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Wilma Lee Sewell Allred; a son, Gary Bernard Allred; three brothers Rev. H.V.(Bob) Allred, James B. (Jim) Allred, Charles (Hoyt) Allred, Sr.; and sister, Willodean Rose. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged before his enlistment time ended due to family needs. He was a hard worker providing for his family and teaching them by example about his heavenly Father. He was a lifetime member of the Cookeville Church of the Nazarene where he served in many capacities including the church board for many years. After he retired, he enjoyed trout fishing, camping, and traveling with family. He loved conversing with family, friends and total strangers telling them how good God is and that the most important thing in life is to have your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. He is survived by his wife, Anna Faye Gilreath Allred; children, Constance Allred Maddux (Jim) of Sparta, Tn, William (Bill) Allred of South Lebanon, Ohio, and Rev. Ed H. Allred (Renee)of Crosby, Texas; grandchildren, Rev Philip Allred (Stacey), Robert Allred (Elisa), Emily Allred Bonnette (Nathan), Krista Narcum (Drew) and Bridget Allred; great grandchildren, Elijah Allred, Noam and Waylon Bonnette, Eliana Allred, Hadley, Jacob and Kellan Narcum; one brother, Howard D. Allred (Jo); and a host of other family and friends. Special thanks to the medical staff on 6 North at Cookeville Regional Medical Center and the staff at NHC Rehab. Special mention for Pauline Wood and Mary Gilreath and Chandler Hinds and the rest of Anna’s family for your love and care. Celebration of Life will be July 5, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Cookeville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. James R. Staggs officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment with military honors will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Clarkrange Cemetery, Clarkrange, Tennessee.
