Barbara Reid Evans

Mrs. Barbara Reid Evans, age 91, passed away on Sunday evening, October 3, 2010 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Cremation was chosen per Mrs. Evan’s wishes. Mrs. Evans was born December 2, 1918 in New Haven Connecticut to the late Henry E. Mitchell and Ann Sherman Mitchell. She spent her life as a loving mother and homemaker as well as working as a receptionist for several years. Her family includes; one son, Lawrence Reid of Baxter; one daughter, Gwendolyn Johnson of Harwich Cape Cod Massachusetts, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by two husbands, Mayson F. Reid and Austin Evans, one sister, Ann Mitchell, and one grandchild, Craig Johnson.
