DYER CHAPEL-Barbara Lynn Pryor Duncan born October 25, 1958 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late John Thomas Pryor and Clausie Mayberry Pryor. She passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and Memaw. She was a woman full of love for everyone she met. Affectionately called Memaw by all of her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was everyone's Memaw. She loved vacationing with her husband, Eddie and her family.

Barbara was a dedicated woman of God, strong in her faith. she attended United Freewill Baptist Church for many years. She encouraged and inspired everyone to do their best, attend church and was always there to lend a helping hand, in any shape or form. She encouraged others to take time and vacations because 'life is short, and you need to experience all you can."

She loved flowers and gardens. She raised several flower beds and vegetable gardens with her granddaughter and great grandson. She also loved her pets.

She always had a smile no matter who you were. She loved meeting new people.

Barbara was preceded in death in addition her parents, by brother Junior Wheeler, sister Kathleen Townsend and great-granddaughter Emma Brown.

She is survived by her husband James "Eddie" Duncan, Jr. of Bloomington Springs, sister-in-law Joanna Wheeler of Baxter, daughters Audrey (Mike) Robichaud of Silver Point, Angi (Tim) Keith of Bloomington Springs and Jackie Duncan of Johnson City, sons Jed Duncan of Johnson City, Gabriel (Eleanor) Duncan of Chattanooga, 7 grandchildren: John ( Carrie) Brown, Sierra Tucker, Christian (Shawn) Walker, Joseph Tucker, William Brown, Daniel Keith, Elizabeth Keith and Annie Gabriella Duncan (who is one month from being born), great-grandchildren: Jace Walker, Xander ( Faith) Denton, Adyson Brown, Baylee Brown, Logan Brown, Paisley Walker, Haylee Brown, Katelyn Brown, Harley Brown, Ellie McBroom, Elizabeth Ishcomer, Emory Keith and Matthew Brown, many nieces, nephews and cousins, special family friends Victoria Wells, Dennis Maxwell, Kelsey Bender and Erica Guinn, cousin Tony Pryor, all of her church family.

Remember Barbara in many ways, but mostly this spring. Plant some new flowers, grow vegetables, or just enjoy outside.

Barbara's funeral service will be Friday, March 21 at 1 PM at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home, 798 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville, TN. Bro. Dow Allen and her husband Eddie will officiate. Interment will follow in Perkins Cemetery. The family will recieve friends Thursday from 4 to 8 PM and Friday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Active Pallbeaers will be Joseph Tucker, Daniel Keith, Chase Duncan, John Brown, Jed Duncan and Gabriel Duncan.
