Asher Lafever

Mr. Asher Winfield LaFever (Junior – Alan) age 84 of Cookeville, died Thursday November 6, 2014 at his home. At his request no services are planned. He was born March 29, 1930 in McMinnville, TN to the late Albert Winfield and Artie Clouse LaFever. Mr. LaFever served his country in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked as a Supervisor at Universal Coal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, James LaFever and and by sisters, Kanzatie LaFever, Inez LaFever Shultz, Dezel LaFever Thomas, Bell LaFever Johnson and Eula LaFever Steincamp. He is survived by his beloved wife and caretaker of 51 years, Dorothy ‘Dot' Clark LaFever (whom he married May 10, 1963 in Cookeville); step-daughter, Charlotte ‘Chris' Buchanan of Lebanon; grandchildren, Brandy Walker of Lebanon and David Scott Walker of Nashville; Sister-in-law, Ruby LaFever, nieces and nephews, Arlan and Lisa LaFever, Dennis and Mark Thomas, Kathy and Ronnie Johnson and Dawn and Bruce Steincamp, Sharon, Bonnie and Ronnie Shultz.
