Funeral services for Arthur Floyd Furrow, Sr. 93, of Cookeville, will be held at 7 pm Thursday, June 7 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Barry Boggs will officiate. Interment with military honors will be Friday at 1pm in the Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 pm until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Furrow died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his daughter and son-in-laws home. He was born February 27, 1919 in Brinkley, AR to the late Joseph Andrew and Minnie Anna Roberts Furrow. Mr. Furrow was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII. Prior to moving to Cookeville, he was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis where served as usher and walked security at Sunday evening service. Mr. Furrow was the owner/operator of Furrow Diesel. He is fondly remembered as loving and patient father putting God first, family second and work third. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Thompson Furrow, and brother, Walter Furrow. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Art and Linda Furrow of Vancleave, MS; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Doug Dickey of Cookeville; four grandchildren, Alan Douglas and wife Cathy, Drew Dickey and fiancé Lisa Jared, Marisa Cooper and husband Britt, Colin Furrow and wife Rachel Lewis Furrow; and four great-grandchildren.
