Arnold Eldridge

Funeral services for Mr. Arnold Eldridge, age 86 of Algood, will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Algood Family Event Center. Bro. Mark Gaw will officiate. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. His family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Algood Family Event Center. Mr. Eldridge died Wednesday May 4, 2022 at his residence. He was born July 8, 1935 in Overton County, TN to the late Harry and Geneva Swack Eldridge. He has lived in Algood since his family moved there when he was 8 years old. Arnold had a strong work ethic, working as a truck driver. He was a devoted family man. He loved the Lord and has attended Washington Avenue Baptist Church for the past 25 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby Joe and Sue Eldridge. Mr. Eldridge is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Little Eldridge; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Mike Nelson, of Cookeville; granddaughter, Angela and husband Ray Simmons of Sparta, TN; and by a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Virginia Eldridge, of Cookeville.
