BAXTER -- Funeral services for Reece Nash, 51, of Baxter, will be held Friday, March 28, at 2 p.m. at Nash Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery. Family will receive friends today, Thursday, March 27, from 4-9 p.m. and Friday, March 28, from noon until time of services at the church. Mr. Nash died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Cookeville to Armon Reece and Doris Helen Nash. Mr. Nash was a member of Nash Grove Baptist Church. He was state chairman of Quail Unlimited and a board member of the Tennessee Marina Association. He was the marina owner and operator of Cookeville Boat Dock. In addition to his parents, his family includes his wife, Frida Nash of Baxter; two daughters and a son-in-law, Christina and Jon Slemp and Kimberly Nash, all of Baxter; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl Reece and Kattie Nash of Baxter; a sister and brother-in-law, Camilla and Hollis Brown of Baxter; his mother-in-law, Shirley Magaha; a brother-in-law, Wayne Magaha; and three grandchildren, Maggie and Lilly Slemp and Mackenzie Nash. Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Mack Magaha, and four grandparents, Carl and Maggie Nash and Haksel and Avo Burgess. Bro. Gary West will officiate the services.
