Antonio Marco Aguiluz

Graveside funeral services for Marco Antonio Aguiluz, age 95, of Cookeville, were held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Garden of Memories in Metairie, LA. Mr. Aguiluz entered into rest Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina TN. Marco was born September 25, 1918 in Progresso de Castro, Mexico to native Honduran parents, the late Nicolas A. Aguiluz and Rosa Pavon Aguiluz. His early years were spent in Gulfport, MS and he loved the city so much he returned to Gulfport in 2003 and lived there until he moved with his daughter and son-in-law to Cookeville, TN in 2008. Mr. Aguiluz was of the Church of Christ faith and his loves included Bible Studies and Soccer. Marco lived in the Dallas, TX area for 37 years and retired from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as an accountant. Mr. Aguiluz is survived by three children; his daughter Rosella Kiern (husband Bruce) of Cookeville, his son Mark Aguiluz of Metairie LA, and a step-daughter Diane Brown of Texas. In addition Tony is survived by three grandchildren; Robin Aguiluz, Dana Kiern, and Erin Urbano, as well as two great-grandchildren Isabel Urbano and Isaiah Urbano. In addition to his parents, Mr. Aguiluz was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Aguiluz, a granddaughter, Bunnie Lynn Aguiluz, his wife Juanita Brown Aguiluz, and the mother of his children, Marjorie Aguiluz Moya. The family of Mr. Aguiluz would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Mabry Health Care Center, Caris Hospice, and Dyer Funeral Home for their caring service for Marco and the Kiern Family during this difficult time.
