Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Marie Anello Shock, age 69 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, April 21st at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Father Chad Puthoff will officiate. Mrs. Shock's family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. A Rosary service will also be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home. She died Tuesday morning, April 17, 2018 at her residence. She was born November 3, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Thomas and Joann DelDeo Anello. She was a graduate of Carroll Catholic High School in Dayton and was employed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Anna and her late husband Jim moved to Cookeville in 1978. She worked for many years in the cafeteria at Northeast Elementary School. She later worked for the Putnam Co. School System as food service manager until her retirement in 2012. Anna was proud of her Italian heritage and was a very social, caring and loving person. She loved preparing Italian meals for family and friends. She enjoyed spending time at Center Hill Lake and was a member of the Cookeville Corvette Club. She has been a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Church since moving to Cookeville. Her greatest gift was the wisdom and teaching of faith to her children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James ‘Jim' R. Shock and by son, James ‘Jimmy' R. Shock, II. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Joanie and Matthew Sanders of Cookeville; grandchildren, Brittany Lynn, Jake Bryant-Shock, III, Logan Shock, Samuele Shock, Keri Sanders and Adrienne Meredith; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Wanda Anello of Bartlett, Il; and dear friends, Lisa Stewart and Denise Farmer, both of Cookeville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
