Ann Philson

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Ann Philson, age 76, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday December 9 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Mike Casstevens will officiate. Interment will follow in the West Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Philson passed away Sunday December 1, 2019 at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. She was born November 20, 1943 in Graham, NC to the late Walker Stokes Welch and Lillie Isaiah Whittfield Welch. Mrs. Philson along with her late husband, Nick Philson Sr. were co-owners of Nick's Restaurant and Lounge. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great homemaker, always quick to support her family's events and provide home cooked meals. She was also instrumental in organizing the former ALS support group, Power of the Journey. She is survived by four daughters, Angie (Mike) Casstevens of Mt. Airy, NC, Maria (Andrew) Merritt of High Point, NC, Susie (Tom) Branch of Dobson, NC, Nichole (Matt) Wilson of Baxter; three sons, Dwayne (Tracie) Huntley of Jacksonville, FL, Steve (Kim) Huntley of Livingston, TN and Nick Philson, Jr of Cookeville; 12 grandchildren, Mac (Nicole) Casstevens, Ricky (Kari) Casstevens, Cole Huntley, Chris Merritt, Tiffany (Chris) Gibson, David (Jordan) Merritt, Emily, Caroline, and Kaitlin Huntley, Elizabeth Branch, Alec and Lillianna Wilson; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Mitchell, Alma Jo Daye, and Billy Faye Dodson. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
