Ann Morris

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. LeAnna "�Ann"� Herd Morris, age 93 of Cookeville, will be celebrated Thursday January 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Chad Puthoff officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Morris died Monday, January 14, 2013 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center after a brief illness She was born on December 16, 1919 in Buffalo Valley, TN to the late Everett and Martha Phillips Herd. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and also worked at Webb"�s Pharmacy, Saunders Florist, and her husband"�s company, J.H. Morris Plumbing & Heating. She was a long-time member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She was a loving "�mother"� to several generations of nieces and nephews and to many neighboring children. She spent the latter part of her life as a caregiver for many families in Cookeville. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and participating in activities at the Sr. Citizens Center. Her full life leaves behind many, many friends. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, James "�Jim"� H. Morris (who died October 23, 1986); sister, Mary Stamps; and four brothers, Armstrong "�Boy"�, Virgil, Woodrow and Bart Herd. She is survived by a host of adoring nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Active Pallbearers will be members of Knights of Columbus.
