Anita Dickinson

Graveside services and interment for Sonja Anita Dickinson, age 84 of Cookeville, will be 1 p.m. Monday February 13 at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Dee Wells will officiate

Her family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home.

Anita passed away Tuesday February 7, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Anita and her late husband, Jim Dickinson, owned and operated Cookeville Electric Motor. She was an avid golfer, and college sports fan, enjoying college basketball and PGA Golf Tournaments.

She loved going to the beach and would make as many trips with friends and family as possible each year.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy (Kem) Dickinson of Cookeville; grandchildren, Nicole (Jon) Wallace, and Alec (Jess) Dickinson and Danielle Gregg, brother Graham Steakley, and sister by choice Sandi Koczwara Farris. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Gregg, and brother Dean Steakley.

Serving as pallbearers will be Alec Dickinson, Jon Wallace, Clay Steakley, Carl Hitchcock, Doug Francis, and Dan Farris.

Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G Komen for the Cure.
